At Operation BackPack4Kids, we help because no child should face crisis alone.

When children are forced to flee their homes because of war, disaster, or tragedy, they often leave everything behind. No clothes. No toys. No toothbrush. Just fear and uncertainty. That’s where we come in.

We provide backpacks filled with essential items and comfort—to meet both practical needs and emotional ones. Our goal is simple: to offer relief, restore dignity, and bring hope in moments of darkness.

What’s in a Backpack?

Every Operation BackPack4Kids bag is packed with care by volunteers. These kits include:

• Hygiene items (toothbrush, soap, comb)

• Comfort items (blanket, stuffed animal, coloring book)

• Seasonal essentials (hat, gloves, sunscreen—depending on need)

• Love. Lots of it.

Each backpack is tailored by age and situation, from toddlers to preteens, because kids in crisis need different kinds of support.

Who Receives Our Backpacks?

We help children impacted by:

• Natural disasters (like hurricanes, wildfires, floods)

• Human conflict and war (like those fleeing Ukraine and Syria)

• Domestic displacement (house fires, foster transitions, homelessness)

We’ve delivered thousands of backpacks across the U.S., and through our partnerships with the American Red Cross, UPS Foundation, and local communities, we’re growing every month.
